BluBoxx Scope
The Network Evaluation for Ethernet (IP) Network will be done at Three (3) levels.
- Physical inspection not requiring line disconnection.
- Line Scanning requiring line disconnection.
- Network Scan not requiring line disconnection.
Visual inspection, NOT requiring Line disconnection
- Visual checks of entire network will be carried out to identify
- Mechanical damages to passive components.
- Inspect Quality & Workmanship of network as per standards.
- Verify readability of Identification for easy traceability.
- Verify proper connector connections & Oxidization.
- Check knots or kinks in cable causing constraints to data flow.
- Verify Improper Termination at ends.
Electrical Check- Requires Line disconnection
- Verify last mile problems and potential sources of network Faults.
- Check cable impedance.
- Identify Reversed pair.
- Determine actual cable length in Mtrs.
- Prop. Delay
- Delay Skew
- Resistance
- Frequency
- Near End Cross Talk
- Far End Cross Talk
- Cable Attenuation
- Return Loss
Online Scan NOT requiring Line Down
- Network utilization.
- Network collisions, errors.
- Packet Loss, Data Corruption.
- Network broadcasts.
- Local and remote station.
- IP address, MAC address,
- Frame Analysis
- Ping response time, SNMP name and node up-time.
- Current, average and maximum.
Analysis of results
- Recommendation of necessary steps to optimize the system stability.
- Submit detailed analysis report.
Client Scope
- Provide network architecture/ connection diagram of the n/w prior to the visit.
- Assist/help BluBoxx Engineer in testing the n/w.
- Connection points to be made available for connection of Tester.
- Make changes to the n/w as suggested by BluBoxx Engineer.
- Take shutdown if necessary.

The above tests are for UTP (Copper) Network only. The above schedule is subject to approval &
availability of Network Port, Cables & other devices for testing.
