The Industrial Gigabit Media Converter from PLANET IGUP-1205AT combines Ethernet media conversion (from 1000BASE-X to 10/100/1000BASE-T) with an 802.3bt PoE++ injector function to provide up to 95 watts of power output and high data transmission speed to PDs (powered devices) installed in remote locations where adequate and dependable power input is required. Its 1000BASE-X fiber optic uplink connector offers a distant core network stable, fast, and long-distance data transmission. In order to provide power redundancy and operational flexibility, the IGUP-1205AT's unique and practical power technology accepts twin 12–56V DC power inputs.

The IGUP-1205AT may be used in virtually any challenging environment because it can function in a temperature range of -40 to 75 degrees C and has an IP30 robust housing.


Fiber-optic Link Capability Expands the Area of Network Deployment

A PoE PSE (power sourcing equipment) and PD can be separated by 100 meters of Ethernet cable at the most. The IGUP-1205AT includes a fiber interface to enable applications that require a greater range of PoE deployment. Fiber connectors for the IGUP-1205AT come in the following varieties:

The IGUP-1205AT, which complies with IEEE 802.3bt Power over Ethernet Plus technology, offers three times as much PoE output power as the older 802.3at standard, up to 95 watts. By incorporating a Legacy function into the DIP switch design, it is also backwards compatible with 802.3af/at PoE standards, enabling customers to deploy standard and high-powered devices simultaneously without the need for software programming. The IGUP-1205AT can simplify cable deployment and do away with separate electrical outlets on the wall, ceiling, or any other difficult-to-reach position by providing data and Power over Ethernet from a single unit.


Power System that is Convenient and Reliable

The IGUP-1205AT employs the 1248V DC to 56V power boost technology to address the power source issue but does not call for specific power supply. This enables the use of 802.3bt power PoE++ with the frequently used 1248V DC power input for transportation and industrial-level applications. Because of its wide range of voltages, it can be used in high availability systems that need backup or redundant power supplies and is thus ideal for global operability.
