The PLANET IGT-2205AT is an Industrial Gigabit Media Converter that offers considerable flexibility for Gigabit Ethernet expansion in a challenging industrial setting as well as non-blocking wire-speed performance. Two 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 copper ports, two 100/1000/2500BASE-X SFP fiber optic connectors, and a redundant power supply are all included in the package. With a wide temperature range of -40 to 75 degrees C, the IGT-2205AT is well suited for applications in deploying surveillance systems, and protecting control and wireless service.

The ability of Fiber-Optic Links permits the expansion of Network Deployment

SFP (Small Form Factor Pluggable) fiber-optic transceivers that provide 100BASE-FX, 1000BASE-X, and 2500BASE-X are compatible with the two SFP ports. The Gigabit Ethernet distance can be increased from 300 meters (Multi-mode fiber cable) to 20/40/80/120 kilometers (Single-mode fiber cable), and the Fast Ethernet distance can be increased from 2 km (Multi-mode fiber cable) to 20/40/60 kilometers (Single-mode fiber cable). The fiber optic uplink capability ensures the throughput to all nodes connected to the network. They work well for applications in distribution and factory data centers.


Adjustable 2-port Fiber Redundant Mode or 4-port Switch Mode

The IGT-2205AT's two SFP fiber ports can be set up as Ethernet switch mode or fiber redundancy mode using the built-in DIP switch. With the 2-port Fiber redundant mode, it offers quick fiber redundancy of link for extremely important Ethernet applications. It can function in Store-and-Forward mechanism with excellent performance when in Ethernet switch mode. The redundant mode includes an auto-recovery feature. A packet will be forwarded to the other port in the backup pair if the target port is link-down.

The IGT-2205AT has a slim-type IP30 metal enclosure for quick deployment in locations with high industrial demands. The IGT-2205AT offers a high level of immunity against electromagnetic interference and strong electrical surges, which are typically encountered on plant floors or in curb side traffic control cabinets, thanks to IP30 industrial case protection. The IGT-2205AT can be used in practically any challenging situation because it can function in a temperature range of -40 to 75 degrees C. For effective cabinet space utilization, the IGT-2205AT also supports mounting on either a DIN rail or a wall.

Reliable and Convenient Power System

The IGT-2205AT is equipped with two DC power input connectors for redundant power supply installation to increase operation flexibility and dependability. Additionally, it has an inbuilt power source with a wide range of voltages (12 to 48V DC or 24V AC) for use with multiple or backup power inputs in high availability applications that require them globally.
