Contemporary Wall-mount Installation
The WGS-814HP was created specifically to be fitted in a small space, like a wall enclosure. Any place with limited room may readily accommodate the small, flat, and wall-mounted design. It uses a "Front Access" design, which makes it very simple for personnel to manage the installation, cable cabling, LED monitoring, and maintenance of the WGS-814HP when it is enclosed. Operation Modes: Standard, VLAN, and Extended
Standard, VLAN, and Extend operation modes are offered by the WGS-814HP. In its default operating mode, the WGS-814HP is a conventional IEEE 802.3at/PoE+ switch.

The port-based VLAN function, which is a component of the VLAN operating mode, can assist in preventing the IP camera's multicast or broadcast storm from interfering with one another. Two uplink ports with a 1000Mbps transfer rate provide high-speed data and video transmission as well as stable connection assurance for the surveillance system and outside network, allowing for full utilization of the four PoE+ ports.

The WGS-814HP can support 20 watts of PoE power output over a distance of up to 250 meters when operating in the extend operation mode, exceeding the 100 meter limit of Ethernet UTP cable. The WGS-814HP offers an extra solution for 802.3at PoE distance extension with this brand-new capability, minimizing the expense of Ethernet cable installation. In the extended operation mode, its VLAN isolation capability isolates ports to guard against DHCP spoofing and prevent broadcast storm.

Power Distribution for Small Ethernet Networks is Centralized
The WGS-818HP has eight PoE ports with a total power output budget of up to 120 watts. This is good for small-scale PoE network apps. Compliant with both IEEE 802.3at and IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet standards, each PoE port delivers up to 30 watts of power and Gigabit-speed data transmission over a single Cat.5e/6 Ethernet wire, which can power a remote PoE PD up to 100 meters away.
Smart LED Indicator for Real-time PoE Usage
The WGS-818HP has a Power Budget Control function that helps keep the power budget from being overloaded. This makes it easier to handle power automatically. Also, the WGS-818HP's smart LED indicator makes it easy for users to keep track of how much power is being used by PoE. The front panel of the WGS-818HP has four LEDs labeled "PoE Power Usage" that show how much power is being used: 30W, 60W, 90W, and 120W.
