The PLANET IGS-620TF is a 6-port full gigabit industrial switch that offers non-blocking wire-speed performance and outstanding flexibility for Gigabit Ethernet extension in challenging industrial environments. In addition to two additional 100/1000/2500BASE-X SFP fiber optic interfaces, it offers four ports of 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 copper and an IP30 robust sturdy casing with redundant power system. The IGS-620TF is well suited for tasks including installing surveillance systems, safeguarding wireless service, and operating in harsh situations with temperature ranges of -40 to 75 degrees Celsius.

The Extension of Network Deployment is Made Possible by Fiber Optic Link Capability
The two SFP ports work with SFP (small form factor pluggable) fiber-optic transceivers that support 100BASE-FX, 1000BASE-X, and 2500BASE-X. The fiber optic uplink capability ensures throughput to all network nodes connected, and the Gigabit Ethernet distance may be increased from 300 meters (multi-mode fiber cable) to 10/20/30/40/50/70/120 kilometers (single-mode fiber cable). Additionally, the Fast Ethernet range can be increased from 2 km (multi-mode fiber line) to 20 km (single-mode fiber cable) and up to 60 km. They are appropriate for use in manufacturing data centers and distributes.

Adjustable 4-plus-2 fiber redundant mode or 6-port switch mode

With their integrated DIP switch, the two SFP ports enable operation mode switching. The IGS-620TF's built-in DIP switch allows it to be set up as a 6-port Ethernet switch or a 4+2 fiber redundancy mode. The IGS-620TF may function in a Store-and-Forward mechanism in the 6-port switch mode with great performance; however, in the 4+2 fiber redundant mode, it offers quick fiber redundancy of connection for extremely important Ethernet applications. Additionally supporting auto-recovery is the redundant mode. The other port in the backup pair will receive the packet if the destination port is link-down.

The IGS-620TF has a slim-type IP30 metal enclosure that makes deployment in harsh industrial situations simple. The IGS-620TF has IP30 industrial case protection, which offers a high level of immunity to electromagnetic interference and strong electrical surges that are typically found on plant floors or in curb side traffic control cabinets. The IGS-620TF may be used in practically any challenging environment because it can function in a temperature range of -40 to 75 degrees Celsius. For effective cabinet space utilization, the IGS-620TF also supports DIN-rail or wall installation.

The IGS-620TF has two DC power input connectors for installing redundant power supplies, which increases operating reliability and flexibility. For worldwide high availability applications requiring dual or backup power inputs, it also has an integrated power supply source with a wide range of voltages (12 to 48V DC or 24V AC).
